There's a lot to say about your first look at Power Apps, but here's a few things that will speed you up:
First, be sure you're in the correct Environment. I have access to two, being in the wrong one is not good.
Second, use this menu to get around. I mainly use the Apps and Tables screens to work. You can see that I currently have two apps that I'm working on.
