SmartConnect to Business Central integration error: Contact xxx is related to a different company than customer xxxxx

I'm getting this error, even though the contact is valid and working. 


It turns out that someone else had entered the same COMPANY NAME, and even though the COMPANY ID was mapped and correct, the COMPANY NAME existed more than once in the BC data and the integration was looking at that data

I UNMAPPED THE CUSTOMER NAME and used the CUSTOMER ID ONLY, and the error went away.
